Mt Field Walks

Happy Easter Everyone! Today was pretty relaxed overall. A lot of time spent mucking around at the fireplace and wandering. In the morning, we all went on the Russel Falls, Lady Barron and Tall Timbers walks in the national park which all took around two hours. The dads did some extra walks in the highlands. We had an Easter egg hunt later in the afternoon. At night we went on a walk to see the nightlife in the forest, in particular, the glow worms. The worms were hard to spot at first and could only be seen once our eyes adjusted. I couldn't get any pictures of them because they weren't bright enough, but they were still really cool. On the way back, we kept our eyes out for Platypuses and we couldn't believe it when we actually saw one (for about ten seconds). Mum was quite disappointed because she was the only one who didn't see it.

 Such beautiful moss and rivers.

Brushtail Possum in the forest at night.
If you look closely, you can see a Trout in the water.

  2. Penny, at Carnarvon Gorge I was the only one who did not see the platypus!
You all look remarkably fit and healthy; a half day just 'mucking around' was worthwhile. I hope you are bringing those Easter eggs home for me Ella. I like the two families in front of the ?Russel Falls.
I missed David's phonecall by 5 minutes ... to Coles for milk. Love to all. MJG. xx
