We were pretty excited for our second day on Bruny island. We started with a walk to Grassy Point and then onto Fluted Cape. The scenery was amazing. That took up most of our morning. We came back for lunch and then left for our boating tour of south east Bruny Ialand. The tour was so fun and the boat was so fast. Everyone enjoyed zipping through the caves and rock walls and speeding over the waves. We were even lucky enough to have dolphins join us which was really cool. We also went out to where the southern ocean starts to see the seals that live on the rocks there. We finished the day having dinner at the Bruny Hotel, the most southern hotel in Australia. The food was delicious.
The start of the walk along the shore.
There were all these piles of stone that people had made. They were pretty amazing. There were heaps more than just in this photo.
The Fluted Cape. It looked so amazing, both from the bottom and the top.
This is the view from the top of the Fluted Cape. You can see the stretch linking North and South Bruny.
There were two boats that went out on the tour. This was the other one. Our one was the same as this one. They sealed about 30 people and had three 250hp outboards. The aluminium hulls cost half a million each.
Hahahaha. I had to put this one in. We all had to wear spray jackets.
A group of dolphins came up to play. They got really close. This was the best photo we got.
A group of seals just chillin' as well as smelling really bad.
One of the gaps we zipped through.
Beautiful photos. Love the rocks. Very cold here 2 deg. Snow at lunchtime with an inch of rain. Amazing skies. Glad you enjoyed the apples and raspberries. They are so crisp and fresh. Love to all, Gma and Gpa.
ReplyDeleteBruny looks almost the best yet! I'll bet you are glad you included it. I love the red dresses. MJG
